An Evening of Food, Music & Community
Every September, Peoria Heights transforms into one of the area's most exciting destinations as Prospect Road closes to traffic and opens to thousands of visitors for Taste of the Heights. This year's event takes place on Wednesday, September 17, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, bringing together great food, refreshing drinks, live entertainment, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
Whether you're visiting Peoria Heights for the first time or have been coming for years, Taste of the Heights is the perfect opportunity to experience everything that makes the village special. Stroll through the streets, sample a variety of local flavors, enjoy live performances, and spend the evening with family and friends. It's a celebration designed for all ages, with carnival games, face painting, and other kid-friendly activities keeping younger guests entertained throughout the evening. Be sure to check out the event auction as well, where you'll have the chance to bid on a variety of exciting prizes. And if your four-legged friend enjoys an evening out, they're welcome to join in the fun too.
Taste Tokens & Event Map
Food and beverages at Taste of the Heights are purchased using Taste Tokens, which are available to purchase cash only both before and during the event. Token sales will be offered at several convenient locations throughout the Heights, making it easy to pick them up before exploring the festival.
Be sure to grab an event map when you arrive. The map will guide you along Prospect Road, showing the locations of participating food vendors, beverage stations, entertainment areas, restrooms, and other attractions. Printed maps are available in limited quantities, so arriving early is the best way to make sure you get one and can plan your evening.
Live Entertainment & Volunteer Opportunities
No community festival is complete without great music, and Taste of the Heights delivers with live performances on two stages throughout the evening. The Main Stage will feature entertainment from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, while the Duryea Stage will host performances from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Performer lineups will be announced closer to the event, so stay tuned for updates!
