The Outer Loop Trail at the Forest Park Nature Center is widely considered the best and most complete hike in the preserve. It circles the edge of the 540-acre protected state nature oasis in Peoria Heights.

Trail Overview
Instead of being one single path, the Outer Loop connects seven different smaller trails to create one big circle. You will walk along the Wilderness, Possum, Bee Tree, Wake Robin, Deer Run, Lower Deer Run, and Valley trails. [1]
